AI Chat Quotas and Plans: Replies, Assistants, and Indexed Pages
Numeric limits change over time — always treat https://formsig.com/pricing as the source of truth. This guide explains what is metered and how, without copying tables that may go stale.

What counts as one reply
Each AI-generated answer to a visitor message in the widget (or a successful API test that returns an answer) counts as one AI Chat reply.
Multiple messages in one conversation = multiple replies.
Email lead submissions are not AI replies but still belong to AI Chat product area.
Free vs paid
Free includes a one-time AI reply trial (not a monthly reset) — check Pricing for current trial size.
Paid tiers (Starter, Pro, Business, Scale) include monthly reply quotas that reset at UTC month boundary.
Assistant count and max indexed pages per assistant also vary by tier.
Staying within quota
Improve custom knowledge so fewer follow-up clarifications are needed.
Use email leads for complex cases instead of long back-and-forth chat.
Monitor usage meters in Dashboard → Account.
Frequently asked questions
Is AI Chat only on Pro?
No. AI Chat is available on Free (trial) and on paid tiers with higher limits. See https://formsig.com/pricing — do not rely on informal plan names from old blog posts.
What happens when quota is reached?
New AI replies are blocked until the next period or upgrade. Widget may still load; messages return a quota error.
